ABOUT
Sahar Rana is a photographer, director and multimedia artist based in the Greater Toronto Area. She earned her bachelor degree from the Honours Bachelor of Photography program at Sheridan College, where she received the Pitko Award, Gian Carlo Drueco Award and Josko Rosenwirth Scholarship at Sheridan’s 2020 Graduation show, as part of the CONTACT Photography Festival.
Sahar’s visual identity is characterized by bold, whimsical, and endearing imagery, often featuring rich color palettes. Her conceptual and experimental approach transforms her subjects into immersive characters within their environments.
Her work, spanning both stills and moving image, serves as a means of self-expression and as well as an art of collaboration. Select clients and collaborators include WIRED, The Globe & Mail, Toronto Star, Three Magazine, Reader's Digest Canada, and Doors Open Toronto.
Sahar is currently open to editorial, commercial, and fine art projects. Alongside her freelance practice, she is also following endeavors of marketing, social media, and content creation. In her free time, Sahar keeps herself busy with various arts and community projects.
